 | If a water recycling unit is used a larger interceptor is required for extra settlement of wash water. The size depends on the number of washes and quality of water but typical installations require a 4500Ltr to 6000Ltr interceptor. |
When a foul connection is available the overflow would be connected from the interceptor to foul. | |
 | Where no foul connection is available either a closed system or overflow tank could be used, systems depend on rainfall and whether or not the wash bay is covered (rain water could cause an overflow). Sometimes consent can be granted to discharge treated overflow to a watercourse but this is subject to application. |
