Morclean has a wide variety of industrial cleaning machines ideally suited to the engineering and manufacturing industries.
Whether it be aeronautical, marine, mechanical, industrial, civil engineering or manufacturing, it is important to ensure that equipment, facilities and products are kept clean at each stage of the operation. In some cases if parts did become contaminated there could be very serious consequences.
We have divided the industry into 4 sections but if you don't see your particular industry below or if your requirements are more specialised, please contact us and one of our specialists will be happy to talk to you.
car plants
Over the last 20 years there has been a revolution in the way vehicles are manufactured with a streamlining of production processes, elimination of waste and focus on quality, cost and delivery. It is therefore very important to ensure workplaces are kept clean and safe. Morclean can provide a wide range of cleaning machines to accomplish this.
Sweepers vary in size and performance capability and we can recommend the appropriate model depending on the area that needs cleaning. Sweepers are easily maintained and only require a small amount of training before use.
After a sweeper has collected the dust and waste, a scrubber dryer would probably be used to scrub the floor with either water or various chemical agents for more persistent dirt. The chemicals we recommend all comply with the COSSH regulations.
Within the plant there will be many areas in need of a vacuum i.e. the paint spraying area where dust and powders collect. Some of these areas are known as zone rated areas. We can provide you with vacuums that are ATEX approvedto operate in these environments.
Manufacturing
Cleaning within a manufacturing environment requires heavy duty and hard wearing machinery. Specialist equipment may be required to comply with regulations governing hazardous environments. Morclean has vast experience in providing cost effective equipment and hygiene solutions to clean your industrial and factory areas and comply with health and safety regulations.
Morclean’s high quality steam cleaners and pressure washers are ideal for dissolving grease, oil, dirt and grime from production machinery and plant equipment. They can also be used to clean buildings and vehicles and are excellent for general plant and grounds maintenance. Morclean machines are available as self-contained units, featuring an integrated pressure washer or steam cleaner, water tank, and gasoline or diesel engine on a heavy-duty skid or trailer. These special designs are ideal for cleaning at remote locations where there is no water, fuel, or electrical source. Morclean can also provide you with a bespoke solution to your individual needs.
Morclean supply a range of electric steam cleaners and pressure washers for maintaining plant facilities. Morclean electric units don't give off contaminants into the surrounding air. They are ideal for indoor use, complying with the Clean Air Act. They produce no flame or exhaust and don't require fossil fuels. These units do not require any preheating or recovery time. Hot water is available instantly and continuously for unlimited periods of time. ATEX approved explosion-proof models are also available for hazardous locations.
Industrial and Ring Main Pressure Washers,
Power Plants
Cleaning within a power plant is ongoing and must be undertaken in accordance with strict guidelines to avoid any potential safety and contamination issues.
It usually consists of wiping or dust mopping with cotton or disposable mops and rags. Vacuums with HEPA filters are also used to collect and remove dust, soil, and contamination from floors, walls, ledges, pipes and other surfaces.
All-Electric Washers for Power Plants
Morclean supply heavy-duty extremely reliable electric powered hot water pressure washers and steam cleaners which heat the water using electricity. This means that the units have fewer moving parts and are extremely reliable and hard wearing. These cleaners are excellent for general plant maintenance and decontamination. As these units run on electric they don't emit any contaminants into the surrounding air and comply with the Clean Air Act. ATEX Approved models for use in hazardous (combustible) atmospheres are available. In addition the unit itself can be decontaminated, allowing it to be used in various locations. These machines are designed for indoor or outdoor use.
Morclean also supply a range of hot water pressure washers which run on petrol or diesel for cleaning plant facilities and equipment. These machines are suitable for maintaining buildings, vehicles and grounds. Morclean machines are also available as self-contained units, featuring an integrated pressure washer or steam cleaner, water tank, and petrol or diesel engine on a heavy-duty skid or over-the-road trailer. These models are ideal for cleaning at remote locations where there is no water, fuel, or electrical source. Morclean can also provide you with a bespoke solution tailored to your individual needs.
Vehicles operating in and around the power plants need to be cleaned rigorously to avoid any contamination. These vehicle washes deal with the washing, the capture of the water post wash and also the treatment of the water.

Woodwork
The term 'woodwork' covers a wide range of occupations within the industry including wood machinists, upholsterers, french polishers, cabinet makers and joiners.
Exposure to wood dust has been associated with problems including nasal dryness and obstruction, irritation of the eye, prolonged and frequent colds and headaches, allergic reactions and a rare form of nasal cancer.
Wood dust consists of a complex mixture of cellulose fibres, resins and contaminants such as fungal spores, wood preservatives, coatings, sealants and glues. This makes it difficult to single out a specific irritant or allergen.
Fires and explosions are another risk associated with woodworking environments due to the accumulation of dust.
The HSE (Health and Safety Executive) have produced notes on good practice for employers to reduce the risks of exposure to wood dust for their workers. You can download a copy of this leaflet here

Exposure to wood dust can be controlled using various strategies such as:
