2009 to 2011
Morclean have continued to develop their range of specialist, robust and bespoke cleaning equipment while embracing technology
Morclean have achieved recognition over the last 5 years in water saving and water recycling initiatives. Morclean's customer base has in turn changed over recent years as they concentrate on new and innovative products
While the UK economy has seen a down turn and many transport operators may have cut or delayed Capex on more traditional vehicle wash systems, Morclean have forged ahead with innovative and challenging designs, and water saving initiatives
New Products
Breaking with tradition Morclean have recognised a niche market and have now invigorated their wide ranging portfolio of fresh new concepts and designs, including inflatable wash pads, interceptors and separators, wash bays, water recycle and re-use systems, as well as the new low water volume Thermasteam machine
Peter Morley, Director of Morclean Ltd says "over recent years we've been challenged as weíve struggled with the Euro exchange rate, increased fuel costs, and a downturn in the UK economy. However we now receive more enquiries than ever for water recycling products and have developed a significant number of brand new customers - and have reacted to these challenges with a range of innovative productsî
New Concepts
Last year Morclean installed a new concept in vehicle washing and invested in a touch-less vehicle wash and water recycle system aptly named the Robot Wash.
This system is brushless to accommodate odd shapes and sizes of vehicles where a traditional brush wash would not be able to operate. The system of course uses a full recycle system so that all of the water that outflows to the sump can be re-used
The robot wash provides a fast and thorough clean of odd shaped vehicles and can be utilised by Local Authorities or operators of mixed plant. Such systems do of course use just as much water as traditional brush wash machines and so water recycling is essential
Thinking outside the box and developing bespoke and new concepts is a philosophy Morclean have adopted for many years, but they donít limit themselves to the larger fleet operators, and installation of drive through systems.
Presently they offer vehicle wash solutions to single owner drivers to fleet operators and donít limit their scope of supply to any one customer type. Whether itís a major fleet operator or the owner of one single van or lorry, Morclean have invested in new concepts and innovative ideas in water reclaim, recycle and water re-use technology
Water Saving Technology
Morclean have always endeavoured to provide cleaning solutions to a wide ranging customer base and one example of this is the new Thermasteam by Morclean. Many manufacturers have been striving to collect and treat the outflow of contaminated wash water, but Morclean have developed a new concept by reducing the amount of water used in the first place
Where as traditional steam cleaners and pressure washers use around 15 Litres of water per minute (900 Litres every hour) the new reduced water Thermasteam produces steam at just 6.5 Litres per hour
Ideal for the smaller operator the machine can be used where a traditional high pressure cleaner and wash pad is impractical or civil works are not cost effective
Whether using a Thermasteam reduced water steam cleaner or a traditional pressure washer the new range of Morcleanís inflatable wash pads have been a welcome innovation to smaller fleet and van operators
Regardless of the size of the operator most sites will require the need of an interceptor, and Morclean have developed a portfolio of separators and interceptors to comply with current legislation including interceptors that are designed to remove larger quantities of oils from MOT or heavy steam cleaning bays
