Sterilization stations
The Morclean sterilization unit is not like other type of wheel wash units because a number of unique features have been used, including INVERTER DRIVEN PUMPS which minimises the amount of power required at start up, (max. 15kW) prolonging the life of pumps however the inverter allows Morclean total flexibility of the wash pressure with approx 50% cost savings. The system is designed so that upcoming nozzles will direct spray at the wheels and chassis of the vehicle only. An additional spray race will be fitted at 1000mm, horizontally along the length of the wash platform, angled downwards to direct spray at the vehicle wheels and sidewalls.
The unit would be supplied from a combination tank, acting as a pump house, header and recycling tank.
The Morclean Sterilization Unit Consists of:
- Pump house to house a proportional liquid dispenser which will add a non corrosive chemical to mains water being delivered to the header tank
- A standard 4 metre long platform surface mounted
- Access via 5 metre long exit and entry ramps
- The control system is to allow vehicles to enter the wash from either direction and for the wash to be activated automatically
- The option to insert the platform into a prepared foundation
- A small captive sump, located underneath the wash platform, will house a submersible pump, which will transfer spent wash water back to the recycling tank
- 2.4 metres galvanised side screens
- Fully automatic control panel, PLC
- Vehicle sensors
- Connecting pipe work
- All cabling
Please note - To prevent any build up in the base of the wash platform the flow rate of the submersible pump is closely matched to that of the main wash pump.
Periodic emptying of the recycling tank for removal of settled solids will be necessary via 4”/6” Bauer connectors and vacuum tanker.
It may be necessary to pre mix chemical on site and a facility to house the container will be provided for within the pump house. Mains water will be connected to the header tank and called for on demand via float switch and solenoid in the header tank.
It is essential to ensure that the volume of chemical added is sufficient to maintain its effective activity in the system. Morclean advises a 10% loss of initial activity after 7 days, at a 1% dilution. As vehicles are washed and disinfected there will be a natural waste of liquid by evaporation and carry off. The recycling and header tank will hold a total of 11,000 litres, top up water to the header tank will be continually dosed with fresh chemical. The amount of water stored (less natural waste) together with fresh chemical added will maintain the efficiency of the system.
The main wash pump detailed will deliver up to 1000 litres per minute at a pressure of up to 3 bar (60psi) at the nozzle. Pressure and volume can be adjusted via the variable speed inverter driving the main pump, to provide the optimum spray pattern required for site. Varying the quantity of nozzles used and, or the nozzle aperture can provide for further adjustment if necessary. Both variables are easily controlled when the system is installed.
